About Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI)

Johns Hopkins Medicine International (JHI) facilitates the global development of the Johns Hopkins Medicine mission: to set the standard of excellence in medical education, research and patient care.

As the international access point to thousands of Johns Hopkins experts in medicine, nursing, public health and health care administration, JHI coordinates treatment for out-of-town patients who travel to Baltimore and local patients with limited English proficiency.

JHI also provides professional services in hospital management, health care consulting and clinical education through strategic alliances and affiliations overseas.

About Johns Hopkins Medicine

The physicians and researchers of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the health care professionals of the Johns Hopkins Health System-united under Johns Hopkins Medicine-work to improve the health of the community and the world by setting the standard of excellence in medical education, research and clinical care.

Diverse and inclusive, Johns Hopkins Medicine educates medical students, scientists, health care professionals and the public; conducts biomedical research; and provides patient-centered medicine to prevent, diagnose and treat human illness.

Its flagship institution, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, founded in 1889 in Baltimore, Maryland, consistently ranks among the best of the best in U.S. News & World Report’s annual “America’s Best Hospitals” survey.

The entire enterprise employs nearly 26,000 health care professionals and includes three acute-care hospitals, four satellite outpatient clinics and nearly 20 community medical centers, plus home care and health care management operations.
